We set sail to delight in the timeless beauty of the rugged and volcanic landscapes, to savour the unique and peculiar characteristics of each island in this UNESCO listed archipelago. Rising from the 200 km ridge in the Tyrrhenian sea between Mt Etna and Mt Vesuvius, the Aeolian Islands offer an authentic manifestation of Mediterranean nature and culture.
We embark from Taormina at the foot of Mt. Etna, we dig our toes in the obsidian and pumice stone beaches of Lipari, we fully unwind in the pristine nature of Salina, we unleash our sense of adventure as we conquer the crater of Vulcano, we stare in awe at the eruptions on Stromboli and we chill in the vibrant nightlife of Panarea to before returning to the peaceful island of Ortigia in Siracusa.
In many ways, sailing is not unlike learning a language: the motivation of the language passionate is the wind filling the sails, the mind of the proficient learner is clear and calm as open waters for cruising and friendly communication is essential in the classroom as it is on the decks. So we decided to bring the classroom to the decks!
