This pretty little fishing village is #Marzamemi where you can not only take some amazing pictures📷 but also try delicious sea food🐠🦐.

The village was home to one of the most important tonnaras (tuna processing plant) in the past. The tonnara itself is no longer in function but the village continues its artisanal fishing🐟 and processing activities.⁠

Have you ever wondered what this three-legged symbol in the Sicilian flag, also displayed in many Sicilian towns, means?⁠
⁠
In the centre of the #Trinacria appears the head of Medusa with entwined serpents hair and ears of corn. The ears of wheat represent the symbol of the fertility of the land.⁠
The three legs in the Trinacria Symbol stand for the three promontories of Sicily. Those promontories are Cape Pelorus, Cape Passero, and Cape Lilibeo.⁠
